This just in form the leaders. . They are currently over on the Kennebec river for two days enjoying the river. From Rueben and Kit : Though reducing in numbers , the family of mallards living in our campsite is growing in size. The mergansers are also growing up quickly and learning to swim up and down the rapids , just like our group. We’ve run class 3 rapids that the West Branch has to offer , so now we are off to run the Seboomook section before coming back to conquer the Penobscot’s class IV’s. The water level has been high , providing large spashy waves and keeping the rocks deep enough under water to be of minimal concern. A few jaunts to blueberry ledges and the ice caves have rounded out this wonderful trip thus far.
