The Wilderness Leadership Expedition group is at Big Eddy, near Baxter State Park, and made the best of a very rainy morning . Big Eddy staff helped them make personal rescue bracelets with Leaders Katie and Emma. The team spent time on Seboomook section of the West Branch of the Penobscot River yesterday running rapids, lining boats and mastering the art of “Portage.” Prior to that they practiced their canoeing skills on the middle and lower sections of the West Branch , close to Chewonkis Big Eddy Campground. What a great group of future leaders! Photos and a short video from their paddling trip are posted here.
